Steve Abel has practiced architecture in Sheridan, Wyoming for 25 years, and has been a partner with Malone Belton Abel since 1995. He received his architecture degree from the University of Kentucky in 1975. He is involved in all phases of architectural work but specializes in design and construction document preparation. Steve has been responsible for the production drawings for educational, commercial and residential projects as well as governmental projects from the municipal to the Federal level.
Notable recent projects include the Wyoming Welcome Center on I-90 , the first Zero Net Energy Building for the State of Wyoming; and the Wyoming Girls’ School Dormitories. At the University of Wyoming, Mr. Abel has served as Project Architect for the College of Health Sciences and the renovation of the Classroom Building. He produced the construction documents for the RockWell Corporate Headquarters. Other projects include the Wyoming Game and Fish Office in Jackson; several residences; preparation of the construction documents for the Gillette College Campus; Wyoming Department of Transportation’s Regional Complex in Gillette, Wyoming; the National Bighorn Sheep Interpretive Center, Dubois, Wyoming; Founders’ Residence Hall at Sheridan College; and the Parish Hall for Holy Name Catholic Church.
